The only way to overcome Hindutva and its formidable allies, according to Shaik Ubaid, is to forge genuine, broad-based partnerships at the grassroots level. Local leaders like Ahmed Shaban sent a strong message encouraging the Muslim community to vote in record numbers on November 8th.
Dr. Ubaid briefed Cheik Ahmed Mbareck of the transnational militant Hindutva movement, which is the fastest-growing Islamophobic danger in the US, during his advocacy work with interfaith leaders and members of Congress. Cheik Ahmed Mbareck then made the decision to join this fight. Follow-up initiatives to educate activists and leaders to combat Islamophobia locally in Minnesota have been announced.
